The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That would make the platform set once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
